Salah Offers Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Reveals Curtis Jones

Jones has shared that Salah expressed regret to the group of players in the wake of the fallout from his televised remarks.

Salah was left out from a European match subsequent to making accusations and claiming his connection to the head coach had broken down.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”

The manager has chosen not to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the player.

Jones insisted that the squad's reaction was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, he was smiling and it was business as usual,” he continued.

The midfielder also implied that a player's desire to start is preferable. “I get that there are specific approaches you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

On-Field Response

Their results have remained strong in the games following the situation. Jones believes the outburst were never meant to destabilise the squad.

“If passion has boiled over, it’s always been from a desire to win,” he finished. “It's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and starting to win games.”
