Loyal fans of Ariana Grande are urging that a man who jumped a barrier and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or deported from Singapore.
A circulating video shows the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the cast walked down a promenade surrounded by onlookers.
Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.
Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.
This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a performance. His Instagram feed features recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last winter.
"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," commented an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.
"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.
Many supporters blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring many.
"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more comment on Instagram.
A number of attendees also criticised guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while others demanded social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.
In footage spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.
Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.
Numerous of fans had congregated in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it commenced.
The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the second of a dual adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected bond between two distinct sorceresses.
The musical itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.
They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.
The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning film of the previous year in the UK, and scored 10 Academy Award nods, securing two for best costume and set decoration.
